Sorus Group has been dealing with trade since 1994. Until 2009 with a modern logistic system and constant capitial investment Sorus established themselves as one of the biggest vertically-integrated fruit company in Russia. With own plantations for bananas in the Rios region in Ecuador the company has the opportunity to control the process at all stages from grower to final customer.
In 2009 the company was strongly hit by the crisis in Russia and by bankruptcy of two major banks in St Peterburg who financed the company. This caused that the company was forced to step down in ambition and put all market investments and brands in Europe on a hold for two years. The company focus now on a strategy to grow towards a marketleadership position in Russia the coming years again.
We introduced the Sorus group to Europe freshfood market and introduced succesfull the brands Dorita and Don Carlos to supermarket chains like Carrefour. We have given structure to the marketing department as interim marketing management for more than two years.
